Another link with the past gone then. Built in the mid 1930s, it was a well-used ballroom originally, becoming a pop music venue during the 1960s. Unfortunately on 31st December 1965 four people died in a crush on the stairway. The Kwik Save store closed in June 2007.

I decided to get some photos of the site before it was too late. I regularly went to the site to document the demolition process.
